Owensby
& Kritikos Inc.'s New Orleans Division is currently seeking individuals for
the following positions:

SITE SUPERVISOR - Perform API-510/API-570 and
API-653 inspections (vessels/piping & tanks)
DUTIES
- Coordinate and oversee testing by technicians. Perform
repair recommendations and API calculations. Analyze and
write technical reports regarding results of inspections
and testing.
REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor, metallurgical
engineering, metallurgy, or technology of
materials or 3 years
study towards bachelor’s plus 3 yrs. experience in the
field. 3 years experience in non-destructive testing.
Experience may be obtained concurrently. Must be
certified pressure vessel API510 or API570 inspector.
Applicant will be required to perform analytical
evaluations of pressure vessels in specific service in
order to assign inspection procedures to match corrosion
properties of that service.

What
is an Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician?
A
non-destructive (NDT) technician provides inspection and non-destructive testing
services for the investigation of various types of materials using such
techniques as visual inspection, ultrasonic flaw detection, vacuum testing,
bubble leak testing and radiographic analysis. The NDT technician inspects
materials such as pipes and tanks for internal flaws, defects, faults and
verification of material thickness.
