Owensby & Kritikos, Inc. (O&K) is recognized as a leader and innovator in providing inspection and testing services to the petroleum, petrochemical, maritime and offshore industries.

In 1962 John Owensby and Theodore Kritikos founded O&K as an engineering and
inspection company servicing the West Bank community of New Orleans. As oil and gas needs expanded over time, the company experienced impressive growth.

Most of O&K's early work consisted of visual inspection services for major oil and gas companies and fabrication shops. In the mid 1970s the industry began to move operations offshore and work on increasingly deeper water platforms. O&K supported these activities by innovating solutions for inspecting these facilities and opening a branch in the Lafayette area for NDE and radiography support. The company has since expanded its presence in fabrication to diversify its services which were dominated by deep water inspection services at that time. O&K has also proved its expertise in plant inspections and is now known for full suite inspection service and specialty risk assessment projects.

Today, Ted Kritikos serves as Chairman of the Board and Bob Ledet serves as President.  Regional offices are located in the New Orleans and Lafayette areas, with an ability to provide services worldwide.
